In the old days of Clinton EMS (like, 2012? I dunno, fight me), there came a need to objectively determine which crew was getting the "hottest of jobs" [citation needed] in a rapid period of time. It was at this moment, our hero (the admin) came to the rescue and developed the original "Station Response Calculator" (SRC)" while bored in a general store dreaming about BBQ ribs. At this time, the 27-Rescue consortium was still active and the three on-duty crews split the response areas.
However, on one fateful night (much like tonight in fact), a disturbance eerily crept up on the Station of the Hill (Road... West). This formidable formicidae of a menace rapidly took a stronghold and usurped the 27 crew from their cozy nest. The battle was lost and the crew had to relocate to a safer refuge. Knowing that the war against them would ultimately be won, a temporary change in operations was warranted.
Thus, the Ant Map was born, with all the same delicious features of the original SRC but spicier. As humor is the only weapon against the inevitable anguish that comes with the job, the Ant Map lives on forever in our hearts.
As CFARS and HBES completed their merger into the new SBES in 2020, a new solution had to be fostered. In paying homage to the now vanquished foe (which was practically socially-acceptable genocide), the Aggregate Navigation Time (ANT) Map was born.
